Using LiveHealth Online Psychiatry, you can meet with a board certified psychiatrist who can help you with things like: stress, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Bipolar Disorder, Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), medication management concerns, questions and more!
If you do not see LiveHealth Online Psychiatry when you log in, this means your employer has elected to not provide video psychiatry visits using LiveHealth Online Psychiatry. Employers who don’t offer video psychiatry visits as a covered benefit usually ask us to remove LiveHealth Online Psychiatry from the list of available practices because they provide behavioral health coverage through another company.

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who has attended four years of medical school, one or two years of internship training, and more than three years of special training as a psychiatrist resident. The psychiatrists you see using LiveHealth Online can prescribe medication or help manage any medication you might be taking for a behavioral health condition.
A therapist is a mental health professional who has at least a master's degree in that field but does not need a Ph.D. or M.D. to practice therapy. Therapists provide talk therapy and do not diagnose patients or write prescriptions. Most therapists specialize in a certain field like family therapy, Marriage counseling, occupational therapy, educational therapy, etc.
If you are unsure of the type of behavioral health professional you should see, it may be best to first meet with a therapist or psychologist using LiveHealth Online Therapy.
