Yes.  To have a visit for your child, create your own account first and add any children under the age of 18 to your profile when prompted.  When you start a visit, you’ll be asked who the visit is for — from the drop down select the child as the patient for the visit.

Any individuals over the age of 18 must have their own account with unique email address, due to privacy and security requirements mandated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA).

The doctors you see using LiveHealth Online can prescribe medication based on their clinical expertise and the medical conditions presented during the time of your visit. If necessary, the doctor can send prescriptions electronically to the pharmacy you select.

Per the Federal Ryan Haight Act of 2009, telehealth providers are prohibited from prescribing controlled substances. Information regarding controlled substances can be found here. In addition to controlled substances, the following additional medications cannot be prescribed:

• Gabapentin (exception: Psychiatry is able to prescribe)
• Muscle relaxants (Baclofen, Soma, Flexeril, Diazepam, Skelaxin, Robaxin, Tizanidine, etc.)
• Lifestyle drugs (Cialis, Viagra)
• Weight loss drugs
• Medications containing ephedrine/pseudoephedrine (Sudafed, Claritin-D, etc.)
